The Greenbelt Management Committee (GMC) is one of the committees dedicated to supporting and serving the Crystal Lakes Road and Recreation Association (CLRRA) Board of Directors.
The GMC was established to mobilize volunteers and coordinate activities within the following set of responsibilities:
1. Managing and enhancing the greenbelts to provide maximum enjoyment by the members 2. Developing programs for tree thinning and fuel reduction in forests, as well as maintaining previous mitigation sites 3. Monitoring the wetlands to ensure their viability 4. Developing a master plan to coordinate hiking trail development, with a long-term goal of having a marked, interconnected trail system 5. Maintaining and marking new and existing trails 6. Developing and initiating programs to educate members about noxious weeds 7. Developing programs to educate property owners about silvicultural practices 8. Develop and maintain a resource base and assistance programs for property owners 9. Develop programs to educate property owners about Firewise practices 10. Prepare and submit meeting minutes of the Committee meeting 11. Prepare a written monthly report for Association’s Board meetings and attend the meetings to answer Board Members’ questions and receive assignments from the Board.
